SK's Box

Sarah Kate received her first homework assignment this week. She had to create an "About Me" box detailing all of the things she enjoys. Then present it to her class. Her list consisted of coloring, markers, crayons, stickers, books, nursery rhymes and her brother Griffin.

Pizza Party

One weekend while we were visiting my family we went out to dinner at a small Italian restaurant near their house. The staff were very friendly and at the end of our meal they invited Griffin back into the kitchen to make his own pizza from scratch.

Baby Number Three

We are having another baby. That's right, baby Parker number 3 is due in March. The kids are excited, for now.  We have many discussions about how the baby got in my tummy and how it will get out. These conversations always happen at 7:30AM on our drive to school when I'm trapped in the car with them for 25 minutes. Makes for a very interesting morning.

This is week 14 so the first trimester is coming to an end. We can't wait to find out if we are having a boy or girl, which won't be until the end of October. Griffin votes for a boy. He says he really needs a brother and maybe he will get his wish because if I had to guess I would also say boy. Many of the cravings and symptoms I've had are the same as when I was pregnant with him. Time will tell.

For now, we are all very excited and can't wait to meet the newest member of the Parker family in March!

Griffin's name

Griffin recently moved into room five at school. This will be his last year in preschool before he starts kindergarten, which is exciting for him and bittersweet for us. One of the tasks the teachers promote is having each child learn to write his name. One night after dinner Griffin created his masterpiece and wrote his name on it. We were so proud of him and it was a shot of reality for me understanding just how fast he is growing up and how much he is learning.

Way to go, Griffin!

Twinkle Twinkle

As we were on our way back from dinner one night Sarah Kate sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Luckily, I was able to capture her sweet voice on camera.

July 4th

We celebrated July 4th at the beach with our family. Griffin and Sarah Kate were able to visit with all of their cousins, which meant there were 7 kids in the house at times. Lots of fun and lots of noise! We spent time at the beach, playing putt putt and watching fire works. I'm so glad G & SK were able to make special memories with their cousins. Even a week later, SK asks almost everyday where her "friends" are.
