Weekend at Wrightsville

At the last minute we decided to take a trip to the beach. We were eating dinner Friday night, talking about the weekend and how it would be fun to take a trip. So, by 8:00 we had everything packed, jumped in the car and headed to Wrightsville Beach for the weekend.

Griffin had such a great time and was so excited to be at the beach. We checked in the hotel at 11:00 and by 11:30 he talked Scott into going out by the ocean. I think it was almost 1:00 am before we all went to bed, but that's what vacation is all about. Of course, my kids don't like to sleep so just like always we were up by 7:00 ready to go the next day.

Saturday morning it took us almost two hours to actually get on the beach. By the time we set up a tent, made four trips from the hotel room to carry stuff down and put sunscreen on the kids, Scott and I were exhausted! Once we finally got set up, the fun began.

Griffin played on the beach all day. He loved playing in the big "sandbox", as he called it. Sarah Kate spent a little time out in the sand as well, but she isn't a fan yet. 

It was so fun to hang out together and we can't wait to plan our next vacation.
