Nana

When Nana came to meet you for the first time
She was over the moon
You looked at her with your cute face
And she said, "I could eat you with a spoon"

Nana came to visit
And help take care of you
She bought you some clothes
And your favorite turtle, too.

Name came to church
To watch the preacher baptize you
She was so proud of her grandson
And certainly everyone knew.

When you were three-months old
We went to get pictures taken
You weren't so sure about it
But when you saw your Nana, what a smile you were making.

On the way home from the beach
You had a meltdown and started to cry
Nana came to the rescue
And rode in the car to soothe you, little guy.

You only knew Nana for five months
But she loved you so much
One day we will tell you stories
And you will have memories that no one can touch.

Nana you were so special
And we love you
You will always be missed
And our thoughts will carry us through.
