Ryan's Birthday

Griffin, Greyson and Ryan have been friends since they were 18 months old. They all attend the same preschool and have been in the same class together since the beginning. This weekend we were able to celebrate Ryan's 4th birthday. In keeping with their interests it was all about trains and cars. Griffin had such a great time and was so excited to play with his friends on the weekend.

Of course, boys will be boys and no one wanted to take a picture or look at the camera!

Griffin's laugh

Posting this video of Griffin (age 3.5) because I never want to forget this sweet laugh.
Of course, watching Thomas the Train poot on another train is what is triggering the laugh, but even so it's too precious to forget.

Valentine's Day

We celebrated Valentine's Day at daycare with a little afternoon party. Griffin had a great time and collected lots of cards and sweet treats from his friends. Unfortunately, Sarah Kate had an ear infection and spent her day at the doctor.

This year Griffin made car themed valentines, of course, he is slightly obsessed with them so it only seemed natural. Sarah Kate wanted to put her excellent cutting and gluing skills to use so she created heart shaped elephants for her class.

Snow Day Fun

The last weekend in January we got several inches of snow. Of course this was the weekend before we moved so supplies were limited. We used the old crib mattress as a sled and some rope that was meant to tie down furniture. But the kids didn't seem mind the mattress sled and kept asking for one more turn. We even tried a mini snowball fight but the snow was too powdery. Too bad all of the fun leads to cold kids and lots of wet clothes for mom to wash.

And here is a short video because I love hearing them scream, "weeeeeeee."

Happy Two, SK!

Sweet Sarah Kate. You are TWO.

These two years have flown by so quickly. You are the sweetest little girl. You love to cuddle up and read books or watch cartoons. You still suck your two fingers and it helps you relax. You are determined. You love baby dolls and art, especially stickers and tape. You are a great eater and always eat your vegetables. You are a great sleeper but are hesitant to get in bed at night afraid you may miss something. You love your mom, dad, brother and family so much. You have such a big heart. You are wonderful. We love you. Happy TWO.

Today we started the celebration with a party at school and ended it with a family dinner and presents at home.

Christmas 2013

We started Christmas Eve by sprinkling reindeer food in the yard so that Santa would make sure to find our house. Later that evening Santa called the children to wish them a Merry Christmas and remind them to go to bed early. We really enjoyed seeing their faces Christmas morning as they looked at their gifts. We spent the entire day playing with toys and enjoying being with family.

Thanksgiving School Party

Both kids had a Thanksgiving lunch at school a few weeks ago. With them both in school it makes it tricky to be at two parties at the same time. Scott and I split up and switch classes so we can be with both G and SK. After the party, we jumped in the car for a whirlwind Thanksgiving break. First stop was Aunt Kim's house in SC, then onto Gigi & Pop's new house in NC.
