Say Cheese!

We had a family photo shoot at Duke Gardens a few weeks back. I thought scheduling it outside where Griffin could run around would be the perfect idea. Well, I was wrong and Griffin was less than thrilled to have his picture taken. Amazingly, the photographer managed to capture some great photos between tantrums. Here are a few highlights from the day.

18 Months Old

My sweet baby is 18 months. We had his check up yesterday and he got a check plus from the doctor. He was 33.5 inches tall (80%) and 27.6 lbs (75%). Griffin is happy, healthy big boy.

Griffin talks all of the time. The chit chat has actually started to take some meaning and he can tell us what he wants,  tell us names of things in books and loves to repeat words we say. He also loves to dance and his favorite is the Fresh Beat Band from nick jr.

He loves anything boy. Cars, sports, blocks, playing outside in the heat and pushing the wagon. He definitely hates shopping and if he is in the shopping cart he constantly says "down, down, down..." Our shopping trips are definitely fast!

Playtime at the Park

We took advantage of the nice weather this weekend with a trip to the park. Griffin is becoming fearless and wants to do everything by himself. He climbs up the stairs and goes down the slide by himself. We're excited he's growing so fast but it makes mom a little nervous.

Museum Fun

Griffin loves the Museum of Life & Science and we made a trip there this weekend to let him play and see the animals. There are so many things to see and do we know we will spend several hours there walking around.

1st day of Pre-School

The first day of pre-school is here. Everyone was up bright and early this morning ready for a new school year to begin. Griffin shed a few tears, but had a great day overall.

This weekend Griffin got to play with his cousins. We met at the mall for a lunch date and shopping trip.
