First Steps
I can't believe how quickly Griffin is growing from a little baby into a toddler. He's constantly in motion. For a while he's been walking along the furniture, but tonight he let go and started walking around the living room.

Fun at Kidzu
It was a rainy, cold weekend here. We took Griffin to Kidzu on Sunday to get some energy out. He crawled all over the place and his favorite activities included playing with the tool set and cooking in the kitchen.

Taking Steps!
Griffin is taking steps while holding on to furniture. He doesn't go very far or very fast but it is so adorable to watch him look down at his feet as he moves. This afternoon we decided to practice walking with the walking zebra. He had a great time holding on and walking back and forth through the kitchen.

Griffin's Favorite Place
Griffin's favorite new place to play is in the bathroom. He's always looking for the next adventure! He loves walking along the tub, splashing in the water, and recently he discovered the toilet. He loves flushing it over and over and likes to drop toys into the water. I have a feeling I'm going to be faced with an overflowing toilet in the near future.

One Year Check Up
Griffin got a great report during his one year check up. He's 75% for both height and weight - 24 lbs. 3 ozs and 30.75 in long. He's growing up so fast and we've been busy packing up a lot of the baby things and working on some big boy things.
-One of Griffin's favorite toys is blocks. He loves playing with them, stacking & unstacking them and building towers.
-No more bottles, check! This little guy has replaced his bottles with a tremendous amount of food. Maybe it's a boy thing but I have never seen anything like it. His favorite foods are Ella's fruit squeezes, chicken nuggets, goldfish, strawberry yogurt and cheese quesadillas.
-Griffin cruises through the house by walking along the furniture. He loves holding onto the sofa, chairs and tables and walking around. I have a feeling it won't be long before he lets go and starts walking.
-He's learned how to wave and usually waves bye bye to us in the morning.
-Griffin has become such a good sleeper. He sleeps about 11 hours a night. He's started giving up his morning nap and usually takes an hour afternoon nap.
-He LOVES Tigger and does not go anywhere without him. He even crawls around the house with Tigger in one hand.

St. Patrick's Day
We had green doughnuts for breakfast this morning to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Griffin wasn't too sure about them, but I thought they were very tasty! We also picked up a little green treat for all of Griffin's friends. The local bakery was selling green shamrock suckers so I knew I had to order some. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Birthday Celebration #2
Griffin ended his birthday with a small family celebration at home. He opened a few more presents and enjoyed a big cupcake for dessert. Turning one is so much fun!

Griffin is ONE
It seems like just the other day we were coming home from the hospital with little idea of what was ahead except knowing that our lives were about to be forever changed ... we were parents. We can't believe how fast time has flown and if the rest of the years go by as quickly as the first, Griffin will be grown up before we know it.
Sweet, sweet Griffin. You are ONE today. You melt our hearts every day with your precious smiles. From the moment we laid eyes on you we were head over heels in love with you.

Spring Fever
We are so ready for Spring time. It was in the 70's today and we took full advantage of the weather. Griffin, Scott and I had lunch outside and then Griffin took a ride in his new wagon. We hope this weather is here to stay.

Griffin's First Birthday Party
We celebrated Griffin's first birthday with a Carnival themed party at the park. Cotton the Clown stopped by for music, magic, balloons and face painting. Griffin had a great time and loved seeing all of his family and friends.

Birthday Parties
Griffin went to his friend, Anyia's first birthday party this weekend. It was a ladybug themed party and he had a great time. Mom even let him stay at the party until 7:00, which meant he got to stay up past his bed time! He was so excited and I know he can't wait for his birthday party this weekend.
