We've had a busy week traveling to our families houses for Thanksgiving. First, Griffin went to visit his cousins, Aunt Kim and PaPa Tim in South Carolina. He had a great time playing with the girls - they were so helpful entertaining him and even giving him a bath! It was a bittersweet trip - we had a great time visiting Scott's family, but really missed Nana. I know she was looking down on us in Heaven thankful that we were all together but I hate that she wasn't there to be with all of her grandchildren on Thanksgiving.
We also traveled back to North Carolina to visit my family. Griffin played with his Uncles and PopPop and got lots of hugs and kisses from GiGi. We carried on the tradition of Black Friday shopping starting the day at 4:30 - and we got lots of good deals!
We love the holidays and are so thankful that we got to spend lots of time with our family! Here are a few pictures from our trip.

Weekend visit to Charlotte
This weekend Griffin and I took a trip to GiGi and PopPop's house. GiGi and I went to the Southern Christmas Show on Saturday and Griffin got a chance to visit with PopPop and Uncle Jon Jon later that night. He had a great time at the show - looking at all of the people and Christmas decorations.
Griffin is such a busy boy and is constantly grabbing and touching anything he can get his hands on. In the past two weeks he has broken a plate AND a table. We can not take our eyes off of him for one second - Seriously, what are we going to do once he starts walking? Even Uncle Jon Jon couldn't believe how fast he was grabbing stuff. As soon as he took something away, Griffin already had something else in his hands. This child is faster than the speed of light!

8 months old
Today our precious Griffin turned 8 months old and let's just say he's isn't so little anymore. He is as active as ever and is so close to crawling. He scoots across the room and spins in circles on the floor, but no official crawling yet. Everything goes in his mouth, everything! He has two teeth on the bottom and another has just started to come in. He is obsessed with tags. Anything that has a tag gets his attention. No need to buy him toys - just give him a few tags and a water bottle to play with and he's happy!
Griffin likes to be out and about - he's happiest when we are going places and doing anything outside. He babbles, squeals and constantly makes noise. I have a feeling once he starts talking he might not ever stop. Just when I think I can't possibly love him anymore - I wake up the next morning and I do.

Griffin on the go
Griffin is on the move more and more everyday. Here is a video of him learning to scoot across the floor and grab his toys. In no time, I think he'll be crawling.

Visit with Uncle Austin
Griffin went to visit Uncle Austin today. We met for lunch at one of our favorite places, Nantucket Cafe. Uncle Austin played with Griffin and he had a great time. In a few days, Griffin is taking a road trip to visit Uncle Jon Jon. He loves his uncles!
